I really should be fast asleep right about now.. But I’ve decided that this is a long overdue and much needed excersise in self discipline, and yet another motivator to get my sleeping patterns back on track.
The past few days have been crazy.. no, make that the past few weeks :). Each and every night I’ve prepared to write about it, only to have this or the other fly up at me and before long I’d wake up and it was morning! So there’s only one good way to stop it.. and its to follow my own advice and “just do it” :).
..With that said, it IS 3 AM and I’ve been working my butt off for most of the day, so pardon any apparent sleepiness that seeps into my writing or even the occasional drool mark as I pick my head up from the keyboard..
..yeah.. I’m tired ;).
Matt and I had a very fun game of basketball today. Well, at least it was fun until it was abruptal cut short by an incredible cut through the opposition for a solid score, compliments of Matt Geri. It would have been a great cause for rejoicing had it not been followed by a run into the grass and a loud snap as Matt took a fall on his left ankle. We went inside a few minutes later and boy was it an ugly swell.. Matt was whisked off to the doctors and returned several hours later. Thankfully, nothing was broken, yet he had a REALLY bad sprain. He’s in a mini-cast and will be off both of his feet for at least a week.
We’ve both been working really hard on this summer’s project. It’s the kind of project where I’d be itching to say more ‘cuz its just so powerful, yet because its not entirely my project, I’ve bound myself to a certain level of secrecy.
Yeah, yeah, I know.. its hard to be more vague about a project than that. Well what I can say is that this project has really shown me first hand the power of working with a team of people dedicated to success. The motivation is all there and things move fast, each team member giving their best and helping out in everyway that they can.
Alright.. there really has been a lot more interesting stuff happening in my life.. for now, though, I’m calling this excersise in self discipline complete and I’ll pick up the pace again later today ;). Off to bed this very tired boy goes!
OH! And for those of you who didn’t know.. My mom is having a BABY! We don’t know what it is yet, but the baby will be born sometime in July. I’m really excited! :)
Alright, off to bed I go! Goodnight World!
